DAY ONE

• Evening arrival and leisurely check-in to the hotel

DAY TWO

• Time 7.30 – 9.30 Continental buffet breakfast with fresh local selections in our elegant and refined breakfast room.
• Time 9.45 A guided tour of Sulmona: During the Christmas season, it is almost mandatory to visit the nativity scenes created by a local artisan, Vincenzo Mosca. He is one of the master woodworkers who specializes in scaled reproductions, including those of a Sulmona of long ago.
• Time 13.30 Lunch in a local restaurant located in the historical district of Sulmona
• Time 15.30 A tasting of local sweets and a tour of one of the oldest confetti factories in the city.
• Return to the hotel to enjoy a free evening.

DAY THREE

• Time 7.30-9.30 Continental buffet breakfast with fresh local selections in our elegant and refined breakfast room.
• Time 10.00 A tour of the Cave of Stiffe, a rare sight to see. Approximately 10 years ago, this particular cave reminded some local artisans of the same cave that housed Jesus’ sacred family over 2 000 years ago in Bethlehem. In the winter of 1996, it was decided that they would recreate the nativity scene in it. Every year since then, from December 8th to January 6th, along the route to this cave, traditional Christmas scenes are recreated. Each year, these scenes are enriched by the professional expertise of the few remaining artists from the Aquila area. Still today, like in the past, these artists speak of a sincere passion for divine paintings and weavings.
• Time 14.00 A visit to the Cantina Pietrantonio, including a tasting of typical local products.
• Time 17.00 Enjoy an afternoon snack consisting of a delicious ice cream-based dessert known as a Cassata Sulmonese. This local delicacy boasts antique origins that link back to the best artisan pastry shops that unfortunately, are no longer in operation.
• Return to the hotel to enjoy a free evening.

If you choose to participate in the activities up until 14.00 on Day Three, the cost of your package is 279.00 Euros per person, plus a 20% surcharge for a single bed.
